Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Mission Outreach

Grace Community is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. The five missionaries from Grace Community Church are located in three countries—Zimbabwe, Cambodia, and Mexico. Each year, a small team from our church travels to one of these three countries to assist our missionaries in practical projects and evangelistic outreach. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Tabernacle of Praise Choir

Choir for One Day – Total Praise

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Our Tabernacle of Praise Choir is a contemporary choir that provides a high energy worship through the aid of the Holy Spirit. Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.”
Music reaches people in a way that no other medium can. It is an intrinsic part of all cultures, and of mankind itself. From the very first beat of the heart, a life sustaining rhythm is carried with us wherever we go. Music can help us express our praise and rejoicing, it can bring us to tears, and it allows us to “pray without words.” The rhythm of a song can help a man with a stutter sing like an angel, and, as our puppet ministry team knows, it can make learning lip sync a pleasure.
Practices for the tabernacle of Praise take place immediately after morning worship. Your week belongs to you!

Ushers

The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Daughters of Thunder Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Several couples at our church serve other families as marriage counselors. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Children’s Church The early years of a person’s life are vital to establishing values and life directions. That is why Children’s Church Ministry is committed to providing a great variety of creative ways to establish our children in God’s Word and to capture the attention of children and deliver God’s truths in unforgettable ways. It is important to know the needs of the children in your church and then provide materials and experiences for their physical, spiritual, and social growth. Variety is certainly a key in sustaining long-term interest. Therefore, we provide the latest children’s music projects, high interest puppet songs and scripts, drama tools, effective children’s church teaching units, object lesson books, storytelling materials, and many other creative resources.
We serve many denominations, so our materials are designed to focus on subjects that unite us and avoid theological differences. We provide a wide variety of materials that meet needs of the smaller church as well as larger congregations.

Puppet Ministry

Our Awesome Puppet Ministry

There is no other ministry quite like puppet ministry! Puppets are effective in reaching, teaching, and entertaining audiences of all ages. They aren’t just for kids. Everybody loves puppets!
In the hands of dedicated puppeteers, these foam and fabric creations can make us laugh, make us cry, and can even share important Biblical messages. Puppets are fun and non-threatening. As a caricature of humanity, they can present significant truths in a manner that is easily accepted. Many unique opportunities for ministry are available to puppeteers, as puppets can open doors to unexpected and surprising venues for sharing God’s word.
Whether they are shadow puppets, Bunraku puppets, rod puppets, or moving mouth puppets in rod-arm or human-arm style, we are convinced that puppets of all kinds are one of the most effective tools for reaching children and families with the gospel. So take some time and look around, and while you’re at it you may just catch Puppet Fever! Join us and experience the excitement of puppet ministry!

Tabernacle of Praise Choir

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
